Friday – Battle of the Bands & Open Mic
Friday night kicks off the festival with our Battle of the Bands and Open Mic, showcasing emerging and regional talent in a relaxed and supportive festival atmosphere.
The Battle of the Bands will feature bands performing live in front of the festival audience and judges, with the winning act earning a featured performance slot during the weekend festival program.
This is a great opportunity for rising artists to perform in front of a live crowd and be part of the Waterview Winter Music Festival experience.
Bands wishing to compete in the Battle of the Bands must apply in advance through the Battle of the Bands application form.
Alongside the competition, we’ll also host a festival Open Mic, giving solo performers, duos, and musicians the chance to jump up and play. Open Mic performers can simply add their name to the sign-up board on the day and take part in the evening’s program.
