Camping Information

On-site camping is available at Baffle Creek Retreat for the duration of the festival.

Camping allows attendees to stay close to the music and enjoy the full weekend experience in a relaxed natural environment.

Camping options include:

• Tent camping
• Caravan and campervan sites
• Non-powered sites only

Spaces are limited and should be booked in advance where possible.

Festival-goers who prefer not to camp can also attend using day or evening tickets.

• A licensed festival bar located within the main festival area

Alcohol purchased at the festival bar must be consumed within the designated bar area inside the festival grounds.

Attendees camping on site may bring BYO alcohol for personal consumption within the camping areas only.

Getting There

Waterview Winter Music Festival is held at Baffle Creek Retreat in the Gladstone Region of Queensland.

The venue is located in a rural setting surrounded by bushland and waterways. Attendees can travel to the festival by car, caravan, or campervan.

Parking will be available on site, with SES volunteers directing vehicles to designated parking and camping areas.

Attendees are encouraged to plan their travel in advance and allow additional time for arrival during peak periods.

The festival is held at Baffle Creek Retreat, a natural outdoor venue in the Gladstone Region of Queensland. The site includes grass surfaces and uneven terrain typical of rural outdoor settings, which may present challenges for some mobility devices.

What to Bring

What Not to Bring

To ensure a safe and enjoyable festival environment, the following items are not permitted:

• Illegal substances
• Weapons or dangerous items
• Glass containers
• Fireworks
• Large sound systems in camping areas
• Drones without prior approval

Event staff reserve the right to refuse entry or remove prohibited items from the site.


Pets

Pets are permitted in camping areas only and must be kept on a leash at all times.

Owners are responsible for their pets’ behaviour and must ensure they do not disturb other campers or festival attendees.

Only companion animals are permitted in festival areas.


Weather

June in this region offers pleasant winter days and cooler evenings.

Festival attendees should be prepared for changing outdoor conditions and bring warm clothing for the evening performances.

The festival will proceed in most weather conditions unless safety concerns require adjustments.


Mobile Coverage

Mobile reception may be limited in parts of the Baffle Creek area due to the rural location.

Attendees are encouraged to make any necessary arrangements before arriving at the festival site.


Safety Information

Event staff, volunteers, licensed security personnel, and first aid support will be present throughout the festival to assist attendees and manage operations.

Security staff will be positioned at key locations including:

• Festival entry gates
• The licensed bar area
• Main festival activity zones

Important notes:

• This is a rural outdoor site with uneven ground
• Please take care when walking at night
• Follow directions from event staff, volunteers and security personnel
• Fires are only permitted in designated areas if conditions allow

Baffle Creek runs alongside the property and is not a designated swimming area. For safety reasons attendees should not enter the creek.

First aid support will be available on site during the event.

Waterview Winter Music Festival welcomes volunteers who would like to be part of delivering the event. Volunteers assist with areas such as event support, artist liaison, site setup, cultural activities and general festival operations.
